Catherine A. "Cappie" Hahn, 93, of Topeka, Kansas, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the House at Midland Care. She was born May 21, 1921 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Albrecht) Hahn. Cappie worked for RCA for 34 years moving to Topeka in 1981 from New Jersey. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church where she was a volunteer. Cappie also volunteered for Let's Help, Kaw Area Vo-Tech and Midland Hospice Care. She was preceded in death by her brother, Al Hahn. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Barbara Hahn, and nieces and nephews; Mike (Dora) Johnson, David (Lisa) Hahn, Theresa (Scott) Lein, Mark (Susan) Hahn, Susan (Dan) Kraus, and Patty (Todd) Sleizer as well as 13 great nieces and nephews. Cappie will lie in state after 4:00 P.M. Friday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Cremation will follow.
