Rodolfo "Rudy" G. Arzate II, passed peacefully on the morning of January 10, 2015, surrounded by loved ones in Topeka. He was born June 10, 1946 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico where he grew up. He later moved to Topeka. As a hard worker and skilled in many trades, he worked as an animal control officer for 20 years. He retired from Food Service/Warehouse work at USD 501 in 2004, after being employed there for eight years. During his life he was an avid history enthusiast, frequently attended auctions, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Marcela, siblings; Graciela, Ricardo, Gloria, Rogelio, Fernando, Amabilia, Raymundo and Claudia, his children; Hector, Claudio, Rodolfo III, Leopoldo, Alfredo, Emiliano, Montezuma, and Thalia along with fifteen grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 16th at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Parish Rosary prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
