Amy Genevieve "Gen" Werly

Amy Genevieve "Gen" Werly, 93, of Topeka, died January 3, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born in Haverhill, Kansas on July 15, 1921 the daughter of Charles Russell and Amy Effie Lipscomb. Gen was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. She was a devoted wife and mother. She married Warren Joseph Werly in Wichita, Kansas on September 25, 1948. He survives. She is also survived by two sons, Tim Werly of Topeka, Patrick (Marjorie) Werly of Emporia, a daughter Rita (Brian) Ewing of Greensboro, NC, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A daughter, Francine Werly passed away on October 17, 2013. Gen will lie in state at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Thursday after 9:00 a.m. where the family will receive friends until 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
