Katherine Rose "Kathy" Hug

Katherine Rose "Kathy" Hug, 55, of Topeka, KS died December 1, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born December 29, 1958 in Topeka the daughter of Roland and Fern (Hildebrandt) Hug. Kathy was a member of Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church. She enjoyed drawing, playing dress-up, animals, children and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Hug. Survivors include her siblings, Marilyn Anderson (Bruce) of Overbrook, Gary Hug (Cindy Lash) of Scranton, Diane Hug of Topeka, Kevin Hug (Laurie) Pullman, MI, Rhonda Alfrey (Todd) of Topeka and a sister-in-law Jeannie Hug of Topeka. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive. Kathy will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where her family will receive from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
