Louise J. Ward

Louise Ward, 83, of Topeka, died November 14, 2014 at Homestead Assisted Living. She was born on February 17, 1931, in Missouri. She married Frederick J. Ward on August 31, 1957 in Leavenworth. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2010. Louise worked for Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church as a payroll clerk for many years. Louise enjoyed sewing, cooking, home decorating, her basset hounds, cats, and spending time at the church. Survivors include a son, Jim "Coyote" Ward of Topeka. Louise was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Cathy Ward. Louise will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
