David P. Griego, 57, of Arlington, Massachusetts, died August 21, 2014 at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass. He was surrounded by his loved ones through the very end. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 5, 1957 the son of Paul and Rachel (Gomez) Griego. David was a 1975 graduate of Hayden High School and attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. An avid musician and excellent drummer, his talents were surpassed only by the love he had for his family. His hard work and dedication could be seen through his meticulous attention to detail. He loved all of his children, always and only wanting the best for them. They were first on his mind. David's calm, easy going demeanor can be seen even now in each of them. He married Cheryl Elliott who preceded him in death. They had a son Aubrey M. Elliott who survives of Independence, Missouri along with his wife Amber and their children, Colston, Sophia, Jonah and Ava. He married Stephanie Seebach in 1989. She survives along with their children, Luz, Azul, Kiko, Paz, and Estrella Griego, all of the home. David is also survived by his mother, Rachel Griego of Topeka, and two sisters, Michele Griego (Mark Stillions) of Trumansburg, NY and Angelina Griego of Topeka. His father preceded him in death. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 6th, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
