Gale Everett Coulter, 76, of Topeka, died August 18, 2014 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on June 29, 1938 the son of Everett Simon and Ina Belle (Clinkenbeard) Coulter. Gale was a Civil Engineer for the City of Topeka prior to his retirement after 36 years of service. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Gale married Carolyn Ann Meier in Topeka, Kansas on July 30, 1966. She survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Ann Coulter Hafner and her husband Larry Hafner Jr., and a sister, Lois Coulter Staples. He donated his body for research to help those who are afflicted with Diabetes. A Memorial visitation will be held on Friday evening at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will conclude the visitation at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association for Research and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
