Karen Sue Rhoades

Karen Sue "Susie Q" Rhoades, 60, of Topeka, died August 13, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones at The House at Midland Care She was born in Topeka on June 23, 1954 the daughter of Farrel and Peggy (Aaron) Tolbert. Karen loved pets, spending time with family, camping and enjoyed the outdoors. She graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1972. She married Larry Berry in 1972 and divorced in 1994. She married James "J.R." Rhoades, he survives. Other survivors include her children: Chad (Heidi) Berry, Jessica (Rosco) Berry, Sarah (Rey) Berry, a sister, Toni (Don) Cripps, a brother, Keith (Madeline) Tolbert all of Topeka. Five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Farrel and Peggy Tolbert, two brothers Matt and Russ. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 15th at 6:30 p.m. at Victory City Church, 2622 SE 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66607.
