David Preston Petesch

David Preston Petesch, 66, of Topeka, died August 3, 2014 at Atria Hearthstone. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on August 23, 1947 the son of Leo A. and Ethel Marie (Groat) Petesch. David served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid KU Basketball fan. He married Diana Wilson in Topeka, Kansas on October 23, 1993. She preceded him in death on January 18, 1994. David is survived by his brother, William "Bill" Petesch and wife Julie of Smithville, MO., a sister, Bobbie Ruth Petesch of Mission, Texas, two step sons, Blake Molter of Maryland, Kent Salman of Las Vegas and four nephews. David will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where his family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery with military honors provided by Philip Billard Post #1650.
