Marion L. (Pendleton) Thorp

Marion L. (Pendleton) Thorp, 83, of Topeka, died June 30, 2014. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 17, 1931 the daughter of John and Rozella (Phillips) Pendleton. Marion was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, sewing, singing and cooking. Marion married John M. Thorp in Topeka, Kansas on October 12, 2000. He survives of the home. She is also survived by three sons, John Ginn, Thomas Ginn Jr., and Mark Hanback; eight daughters, Kelly Kelley, Linda Hanback, Diane Rosenbalm, Karen Ramirez, Judy Sensabaugh, Katheleen Hanback, Nancy Dale and Jodie Thorp, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three children, Kathy Cook, Robin Hanback and David Hanback and a brother, Marvin Pendleton. She will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
