Patricia Ann Gonzales

Patricia Ann Gonzales, 77, of Topeka, passed away June 27, 2014 at The House at Midland Care. She was born in Seneca, Kansas on July 2, 1936 the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Lackey) Frehe. Patricia worked for the State of Kansas for 26 years. She enjoyed camping, dancing, spending time with her sister, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and spoiling her dogs. She was a member of Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. She married Anthony W. Gonzales in Miami, Oklahoma on July 18, 1967. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2009. She is survived by her daughters: Cindy (Tom) Moyer of Topeka, Kathy (Whit Haworth) Geels of Sugar Land, Texas, Denise (Federico Cervantes) Van Sickel of Tamarac, Florida, and Chris (Randy) Mendoza of Topeka, a sister, Marilyn Flott of Topeka, a brother, Edward (Elaine) Frehe of Seneca, Kansas, seven grandchildren: Stephen Hernandez, Melissa Hernandez, Jamie Votaw, Joel Geels, Darin Seidel, Alaina Mendoza, and Angelo Mendoza, 6 great-grandchildren: Kamry, Kalei, Kaydee, Kelisa, Ty, and Carsen. Patricia was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Frehe and Dan Frehe. Patricia will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Monday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:30 p.m. with a parish rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will follow Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
