Mary E. Lillibridge

Mary E. Lillibridge, 88, of Topeka died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Atria Hearthstone. She was born October 7, 1925 in Greenleaf, Kansas the daughter of George and Gertrude (Diederich) Hellman. Mary was a member of Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening and embroidery. She worked in the claims department for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas for 17 years before retiring in 1996. She is survived by a sister Marcellene M. Wilson of Topeka and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by 2 sisters Agnes L. Hellman and Anna Noyes. Mary will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Greenleaf, Kansas at 3:30 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
