It is with tremendous sadness that we must announce the sudden passing of our sweet beloved Anthony Ortega Jr. Baby boy was born on January 20, 1975 by deceased father, Anthony Ortega and living mother, Linda Ortiz. He leaves behind three brothers: Raymond Jimenez, Nathan Ortega and Chris Ortega. Anthony graduated in 1993 from Topeka High School; thereafter, he was employed with Hallmark Cards for 20 years. His studies then began at Baker University where he received his Associates Degree. After leaving Baker, he attended Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Ks. and was recently hired at the Judicial Center of Topeka working with computer diagnostics, which was his field of study. He held multiple certifications. Anthony's family: grandmother, Catalina Ortiz, aunts, uncles, brothers and cousins would like to invite everyone who knew his kind, generously helpful, sincere and peaceful heart to come celebrate his life at the Memorial Service. Memorial services will be held at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Anthony lived up to his expectations. He would be shaking his head at our tears or any gestures that draw attention to him. In remembrance of our departed, we ask that you continue any unsolicited acts of kindness for someone in need and do so in his name. "You could never be replaced. We love you."
