Gust Katsbulas, Jr.

Gust Katsbulas, Jr., 92 of Topeka, KS, died April 23, 2014, at his home. He was born October 29, 1921 in Grantville, KS. Gust was a Navy WW II Veteran. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He married Amelia Pezzulli in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Lawrence (Debrah) Katsbulas, Steven (Wendy) Katsbulas, Diana (Ken) Jones, Patricia (Ernie) Miller, Brenda (Gregg) Kipers all of Topeka and Linda (Paul) Higgins of Denver. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by a sister Violet Grey and two sons, Michael and Daniel. Gust will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a family rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. The family will receive friends until 7:00 p.m. following the rosary. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 227 SW Van Buren, Topeka. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
