Jose Juan Estrada II, 48, of Topeka, died March 16, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 31, 1965 the son of Jose Juan and Margarita A. (Silva) Estrada. Jose worked in the Janitorial field for USD #501 and most recently for the YMCA. Jose loved the outdoors, animals, biking, camping, swimming, music and grilling. Jose had the gift of gab and never knew a stranger as he could strike up a conversation with anyone. He had a great memory for details. He especially enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandsons. He married Kelly Mosher in Topeka on July 11, 1990. They later divorced. He is survived by his children, Khrysten Mosher, Jose Juan Estrada III and his fiancée Iraiah Lapin, Julianna Estrada and Angelina Estrada (Curtis Wright), four grandsons, Adryan, Andray and Aedyn Mosher and Anthony Estrada, a brother, Martin Enrique (Cyndi) Estrada and two sisters, Anna Maria (Jeff) DeBusk and Lucia Maria (Ruben) Ortiz all of Topeka, and his beloved dog, Skip. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jose will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and a rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Cremation will follow with inurnment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
