Betty J. Kaberline, 88, of Topeka, died March 1, 2014 at the House at Midland Care. She was born in Delia, Kansas, on September 11, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Macha) Hladky. Betty graduated from Delia High School in 1943. She was a secretary for several local businesses. She was a long time member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Betty married Leonard Kaberline at the Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka on February 5, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2005. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Kaberline of Topeka, Steven (Paula) Kaberline of Farmington Hills, MI and Kevin (Cheri) Kaberline of McPherson, a brother Loren Hladky of Topeka and a sister Maxine Grimes of Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings: Henry, Margaret, Elsie, Charles, Ernie, Mildred, Leo, and Donald. Betty will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
