Janice C. (Jan) Witt

Janice C. "Jan" Witt, 73, of Topeka, died February 13, 2014 at the House at Midland Care. She was born on February 18, 1940 in Duluth, Minnesota the daughter of James and Penny (Anderson) McDonnell. Jan was a homemaker, a member of American Legion Post #400 Ladies Auxiliary and VFW Philip Billard Post #1650 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader. Jan married Lewis Witt in Miami, Oklahoma on September 13, 1963. He survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Amy Witt of Topeka. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. A service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
