Carol Ann Moriarty, 56, of Auburn, died January 8, 2014 at her home. She was born July 3, 1957 in Skegness, England, the daughter of Gary and Maureen (Jones) Stewart. Carol was a Daycare Provider, which was her passion. She loved her kids, grandkids, animals and traveling. She was the glue of her family and enjoyed planning family events. She will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, niece, cousin, godmother and neighbor. She was a member of the Child Care Aware Of Kansas. Carol married Kevin Moriarty on May 8, 1976 in Topeka. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her children, Melissa Ann (Steve) Eframo of Littleton, Co., Melanie Dawn Moriarty of Overbrook, Ks., Emily Faye (Deion) Christophe of Edmond, OK., and Eric Richard Moriarty of Auburn, Ks., her father, Gary L. Stewart of Topeka, two sisters, Rhonda (Dan) Miller of Tulsa, OK., and Laura Stewart of Topeka, and her grandchildren, Austin, Brittain, Andrew, Tai, Mikaela, Christian, Pryce, Rowan, and Annistyn. Carol was preceded in death by her mother, her brother Brian and her sister Debbie. Carol will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Monday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
