Beatrice Escobar, 84, of Topeka, died October 11, 2013 at the House at Midland Care Hospice. She was born May 1, 1929 in San Francisco del Rincon, GTO, Mexico, the daughter of Santiago and Delphina (Romero) Ramos. Sally worked at Seymour Foods, Capper Foundation and KNI Foster Grandparents Program. Sally retired from KNI in 2012. She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish where she was a member of the Altar Society and was a volunteer for the Fiesta Mexicana. Sally was an avid KU fan, loved going to the movies, dancing, listening to Mexican music and enjoyed our beloved family gatherings. Sally married Vincent S. (Bernie) Escobar in 1948, he survives. She is survived by her children, Ronaldo (Mary Lou), Michael, Richard (Ana Marie), Daniel (Sharon), Roberto (Deborah), Ana Maria and Teresa Marie, all of Topeka and Vincent (Mario) (Loretta), of Kansas City, KS, ten grandsons, five granddaughters and fifteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Vera Sturm, Irene Escobar, Mary Arellano, Victoria White, all of Topeka, two brothers, Ben Ramos, Kearney, MO and Raul Ramos, Plano, TX. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Sal Ramos and Jim Ramos She will lie in state after 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. A Parish, Altar Society Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
