Virginia Toledo, 73, of Topeka, died October 5, 2013 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 18, 1940 the daughter of Panfilo and Jacinta (Lopez) Toledo. Virginia enjoyed gardening and doing embroidery. She also loved to watch sporting events and was an avid KU and Notre Dame fan. Virginia was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Third Order of St. Augustine. She is survived by five sisters, Margaret Lopez, Alice (Raymond) Valdez, Ofelia (Joe) Ortiz, Esperanza Barajas, and Angelina (Rudy) Serrano all of Topeka. She is also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Leon and Antonio Toledo and two in infancy, Guadalupe and Jesus. She will lie in state at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. where a Rosary will be prayed by the Parish, Altar Society and Third Order of St. Augustine at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
