Ella Claire Raymond, 83, of Topeka, KS died October 3, 2013 at the Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital. She was born November 28, 1929 in Omaha, NE the daughter of Albin and Caroline (McEvoy) Treybal. Ella was retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a Research Analyst and from J.C. Penney Co. as a Sales Associate. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Ella was an active volunteer at the church and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the church gardening club, Strato-Jets Square Dance Club, and the J.C. Penney's Retirement Club. She enjoyed flower gardening, square dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. Ella married Dale Raymond in Omaha, NE. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Travis Ortiz and Damon Butler along with three brothers, Louis, Sonny and Edward Treybal. Survivors include her daughters, Michaella Ortiz and her husband Rod of Tampa, FL, Danette Cox and her husband Brian of Topeka, three grandchildren, Angela McHardie, Teryll Ortiz-Watson and Rayanne, D'Auria. Five great-grandchildren, Lauren and Alex McHardie, Jaydah Watson, Tayler and BellaEva D'Auria, a sister-in-law, Lillian Richards of Omaha, NE also survive. Ella will lie in state Sunday after 2:00 p.m. at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A Prayer Vigil Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
