Mila Mae Stadler, 81, of Topeka, died September 21, 2013 at Winter Meadow Homes. She was born in Blue Rapids, Kansas on September 8, 1932 the daughter of Charles and Mary (McClain) Beasley. Mila was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society at the church. Mila enjoyed antiquing, attending the annual ERC Designer Showcase House, shopping and collecting milk glass. Mila's family and grandchildren were very special to her. She worked for twenty-one years at the family liquor store, Stadler Liquor in the Oakland neighborhood. She married Donald Stadler in Topeka, on June 23, 1956 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Donna (Jordan) Rachlen, of Rogers, Arkansas, Mary (Johnny) Lawrence, of Topeka, Charlene Stadler of Overland Park, Kansas; one son, Steve Stadler of Topeka; one brother, Charles (Dorothy) Beasley Jr., of Rochester, Minnesota, two sisters, Florence Nada Cowherd of Rossville, Kansas and Mary Jo (Ron) Cowles of Seymour, Tennessee. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mila was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Bearden, and a granddaughter Allison Stillie. Mila will lie in state at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday after 4:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
