Desdah B. "Daisy" Long, 71, of Topeka, died September 8, 2013 at Lexington Park Nursing Home. She was born on February 20, 1942 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Earl B. and Sarah Nancy (Scott) Wikle. Daisy was a homemaker. She enjoyed roller skating, riding bikes walking and doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Daisy married Ralph Leonard Long in Topeka, Kansas on November 1, 1961. He predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Jr. and a sister, Edith. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth W. (Mildred) Long and Kelly Joe Long, two daughters, Bobbie (Kenny) Long and Patty Morris, a step-son, James (Wanda) Mousbray, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two step granddaughters, five nephews and two nieces. She is also survived by two sisters, Naomi Needham and Sharon Coppinger and a brother, Ronald Wikle. Desdah will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Topeka Cemetery Patio.
