Marion Lee Terry

Marion Lee Terry, 80, passed away on July 20, 2013. He was born April 17, 1933 in Grantville, Kansas. He is the son of Harvey and Clara "Jepson" Terry, who passed before him. Marion went to Perry High School and upon graduating entered the U. S. Air Force. He served 21 years on active duty and attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant before retiring. After his military retirement, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service, farmed, was a volunteer firefighter, and operated a rental property business before he fully retired in 2005. For recreation, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and activities with family. He is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Lillian, his sister, Delores Stockwell , three sons Michael, Mitchell and Joseph and three daughters in laws, Claudia, Phyllis and Johanna. He has 5 grandchildren and 3 great grand children. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. After the visitation, Marion will be cremated with inurnment at a later date in a private ceremony.
