Mari Catherine Simon

Mari Catherine Simon, 63, of Topeka, Kansas, died June 28, 2013 at Providence Medical Center. She was born on July 17, 1949, in Ohio, the daughter of Howard and Dorothy (Irvin) Hall. Mari enjoyed reading, working with special education children, enjoyed learning, and was a lifelong student. She attended Emporia and Washburn Universities and received her Masters Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation. She worked as a teacher in the 501 school district and also worked with children at the Kansas Neurological Institute. She was married to Ray Jager and later to Dale Simon. Mari is survived by her daughter Janelle Jager of Topeka, her siblings Joseph (Donna ) Hall of Lilburn, Georgia, Linda (Jeff) Dolezal of Topeka, and John Hall of Vancouver, Canada, four grandchildren, Shana Jager, Sydney Neidholdt, Sadie Holden, Sirissa Vetch, and several great grandchildren. Mari was preceded in death by her father and a brother James Hall. No services are planned at this time.
