Juana M. "Jane" Rangel, 101, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at her home. She was born June 16, 1911 in Lansing, KS the daughter of Manuel and Bibiana (Puente) Martinez Jane attended Our Lady of Guadalupe and Assumption Catholic Schools before starting at Seymour Foods. After working many years at San Fernando Electronics Co., San Fernando, CA, Jane retired as Supervisor of Quality Control. After retiring she was an adult caregiver. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society and a Fiesta Mexicana contributor. Jane was also a member of the American G.I. Forum Auxiliary and LULAC. She had a love for music and dance. Jane married Jake Gonzalez in 1935 he preceded her in death in 1975, after his death Jane relocated to Topeka wherein 1977 she was wedded to Atanacio Corona he preceded her in death in 1989. Jane was then married to Edward A. Rangel in 1991 he predeceased her in 2008. She is survived by two children from her marriage with Jake Gonzalez, a daughter, Rita Vitela (Roberto) and a son Joseph Gonzalez both of San Fernando, CA. Eleven stepchildren, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grand-children, a great- great grand -daughter and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death her siblings, Sisto Martinez, James Martinez, Joe Martinez, Sabina Terry and Antonia Lopez Jane will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Jane?s memory may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
