Roxie Louise Haid, 71, of Topeka, died October 6, 2012 at her home. She was being cared for by her family and Grace Hospice. She was born December 14, 1940 in Topeka, the daughter of Charles and Elva (Reecer) Storm. Roxie enjoyed spending time at the race track watching Sprint Cars, crocheting, drawing, and arts and crafts. Roxie worked for Hallmark Cards as a secretary for over 8 years. She married Alvin Earl Haid in November of 1958. He preceded her in death in 1978. She is survived by a son, Benny Haid, two daughters, Tamara (David) Wolf, and Tina (Kem) Guffey, all of Topeka, two brothers, Dick Storm of Topeka, and David Burdik of Florida, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Roxie will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 10th, after 2:00 pm where the family will greet friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
