Mamie Ann Flowers, 74, of Topeka, died August 21st, 2012 at her home. She was born at Fort Sam Houston Army Base in San Antonio, Texas on August 13, 1938 the daughter of Lawrence and Lula (Stevens) Phillips. She was a Hairstylist and Make-Up Artist working for several local salons including J.C. Penney and Montgomery Wards. Ann loved plants, animals and gardening. She was most proud of being a grandmother. She married Michael J. Flowers in Topeka on August 14, 1996. He survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Denise Ferrer of Topeka, Mary L. Schmid of Jacksonville, Florida, two sons, David Guy Earlenbaugh and John Phillips Earlenbaugh of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, a step son, Michael D. Flowers of Topeka, a step-daughter, Lenor E. Flowers, of Topeka, a brother, Larry Phillips of Plano, TX., a sister Mary Estes of Point Comfort, TX., eight grandchildren and three step grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Brett Pierson on May 13, 1967. Ann will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Tuesday after 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Osage City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her son.
