Nancy L. Kanatzar

Nancy L. Kanatzar, 69, of Topeka, died June 4, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. Nancy was born on October 7, 1942 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Roscoe "Ross" and Helen (O?Connell) Butner. Nancy was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching her sons participate in Karate events. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching clouds and her blue birds, playing BINGO and going to the casinos. She married Ernest M. "Ernie" Kanatzar Jr. in Topeka, Kansas on September 20, 1958. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2012. She is survived by her children, Mitch (Tina) Kanatzar, Eric (Kelly) Kanatzar, Holly Kanatzar and Jeff (Lisa) Kanatzar, grandchildren; Sheena and Adam Brillhart, Misty Kanatzar and Josh, Sloan Bright, Kyle Bright, Ace Bright, Justin Kanatzar and Danielle, Ryan Coates and Jenna, Jessie Kanatzar and Dwight, Megan and Matt Havens, Stephanie Finley and Isreal, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one brother, Dennis Butner and two sisters, Rosemary Thompson and Suzanne Griffith. Nancy?s family will receive friends at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
