Grover C. Wilson, 85, of Topeka, died April 5, 2013 at Lexington Park Nursing Home. He was born in Leeton, Missouri on March 15, 1928 the son of Eugene and Myrtle Frances (Johnson) Wilson. Grover served in the military during the Korean Conflict. He had been an auto mechanic and shop foreman. Grover retired from the Hutchinson Correctional Facility as a Supervisor over the State Garage. He enjoyed woodcarving and bowling. Grover especially enjoyed raising and feeding squirrels. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a past member of the Masons. Grover married Carol M. McKinley on November 21, 1948 in Liberty, Missouri. They shared over 60 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Larry Dean (Patricia) Wilson of Topeka, Linda Sue Brooks of Clearwater, Kansas, James Alan (Kitima) Wilson of Oklahoma City, Ok., and David Earl Wilson of Denver, CO., nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren and a sister Barbara Birch of Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a grandchild. Mr. Wilson was cremated. No services are planned at this time.
