M. Wayne White, 74, of Topeka, died March 3, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 17, 1939 the son of Clyde Allard and Elizabeth (Utz) White. Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Philip Billard Post #1650 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an Optician and worked for various Optical companies and had his own company at one time. Wayne enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Kirkwood Masonic Lodge #484 AF & AM in Kirkwood, Missouri and the Arab Shrine. He married Victoria Ramos at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on August 13, 1960. They later divorced. He is survived by four sons, Carlos White and Juan White of St. Louis, MO, Esteban (Donna) White of Topeka, Miguel (Meredith) White of St. Louis, and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sisiter, Carol Shoemaker. He will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. and a Masonic Service will follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. A military service will be immediately following and conducted by Philip Billard Post #1650 of the V.F.W. Interment will be at a later date in a National Cemetery.
