Lupe Alonzo Parks, 86, of Topeka, died March 3, 2013 at Manor Care. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 6, 1926 the daughter of Felix and Teresa (Ramos) Padilla. Lupe had been a beautician and homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Lupe married Rudolfo Alonzo at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on July 20, 1946. He predeceased her on March 10, 1957. She married Leonard Parks in Topeka, on July 15, 1982. He also preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by five siblings, Marcellino, Rodrigo and Felix Padilla and April Rios and Mary Ortiz. She is survived by her children, Rosalinda Alonzo and Angelica (Gerald) Espinoza all of Topeka, Rolando (Christina) Alonzo of Fayetteville, NC, Roberto Alonzo and Rudolfo (Rebecca) Alonzo Jr. all of Topeka, a sister, Consuelo (Lawrence) Gutierrez of Surprise, AZ, five grandchildren, Tommy (Marcia) Few, Ryan (Abigail) Alonzo, Alberto (Jessica) Espinoza, Alecia Espinoza and Anissa Alonzo, nine great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Lupe will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday after 2:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Amigos of the Marlo Cuevas-Balandran Activity Center or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Building Fund and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
