Frank Jaramillo, 47, of Chula Vista, California, formerly of Topeka, died January 29, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on September 17, 1965 the son of Juan G. and Guadalupe (Chavez) Jaramillo. Frank received his Bachelor of Science degree from Washburn University and attended the Harvard Kennedy School of Business. Frank began his career with the US Customs Service 22 years ago in El Paso, Texas. He worked for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, GA, and as the Area Port Director in Savannah, GA. He was the Director for the National Targeting Center in Herndon, VA and most recently the Port Director of San Ysidro and Otay Mesa, Ports of Entry in California. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Topeka. He married the love of his life, Rosana Mora on January 18, 1995 in El Paso, Texas. She survives and is also employed with US Customs and Border Protection. He is also survived by his parents, Juan and Guadalupe Jaramillo, his siblings, Father Peter Jaramillo of Kansas City, KS, Anthony and wife Rachel Jaramillo, Daniel and his son Luke, John and his wife Holly and Thomas and his wife Julie all of Topeka, and Mary E. Loya and her husband Steve of Olathe. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Kristine, a brother-in-law, Arnie Mora and his wife Alma of El Paso, TX, and sister-in-law Mary Briseno and her children, Mariana and Jose Daniel of El Paso, TX, and mother and father-in-law, Arnulfo and Carmen Mora of El Paso as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Jaramillo. Frank will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday after 3:00 p.m. where a Rosary and Prayer Vigil Service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will be held later in El Paso, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Frank?s memory to St. Jude Shrine in Baltimore, Maryland or to the Sister Servants of Mary and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
