Julia Perez

Julia Perez, 85, of Topeka, died January 27, 2013 at Midland Hospice House. She was born in Winifred, Kansas on April 12, 1927 the daughter of Gregory and Felicia Trujillo. Julia was a member of the Saint John Mary Vianney Latin Mass Community in St. Mary?s, Kansas. In her spare time, Julia enjoyed sewing. Julia was married to Socorro Perez on April 17, 1948 in Topeka. He survives. She is also survived by a son Robert Perez of Topeka, two daughters, Mary Heppner of Holden, Missouri, and Regina Perez of St. Joseph, Missouri, a brother, Mike Trujillo of Topeka, a sister Rose Padilla of Topeka, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Perez will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Monday, January 28th where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 29th at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
