Clara Mary Colvin

Clara Mary Colvin, 91, died January 23, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. She was born at Sitka, Kansas on November 30, 1921 the daughter of John and Magdalena (Jacobs) Schiefelbein. She grew up in Berryton and Topeka, Kansas. Clara married John Patrick Colvin on April 14, 1942 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Topeka. He died on January 31, 1987. She was also predeceased by a son, Paul James Colvin on July 18, 2007 and a grandson, Donovan Eck on May 16, 2001 as well as nine siblings. Clara is survived by her children, Thomas Colvin and Robert (Lois) Colvin of Topeka, Norene (Al) Moratz of Winter Haven, FL, Linda (Al) Funk of Nortonville, KS, Donna (Jim) Eck of Ozawkie, KS, Brenda Corbett of Lawrence and Victoria Colvin of Berryton, KS. She had twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren, and two sisters, Marie Desch and Bridget Kahler both of Topeka. Clara worked at several businesses in Topeka including, Peter Pan Ice Cream Store, Woolworths, Crosby?s and Frito Lay. Her world travels took her to all seven continents. No services are planned.
