Celia G. Delgado, 86, of Topeka, died April 22, 2013 at Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Merriam, Kansas. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on January 19, 1927 the daughter of Timoteo and Epimenia (Munoz) Guerrero. Celia worked as a nurse?s aide at Stormont-Vail Hospital retiring after 25 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Celia enjoyed bowling, playing cards, traveling, and arts and crafts. She married Paul Delgado in Emporia, Kansas on September 27, 1943. He predeceased her on November 30, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Sunny Ceballos on May 27, 1984, a brother Gilbert Guerrero and a sister, Adeline Hernandez. Celia is survived by four daughters, Carole (Domingo) Soto of Kansas City, Ks., Theresa Ceballos of Kansas City, Ks., Olivia Zozaya of Topeka and Loretta (Mario) Escobar of Kansas City, Ks., eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great- grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Catalina Urbina. Celia will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
