Linda "Ma" Hollenbeck, 50, of Tecumseh, KS, ended her five year battle with breast cancer while surrounded at her home by her loving family on Saturday, April 13, 2013. She was born June 16, 1962 in Topeka, the daughter of Tino and Patricia Rodriguez. Prior to her illness, she was employed at AT&T where she was a proud member of the union. She was a lifelong member of West Side Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She enjoyed photography, music, gardening, fishing and the outdoors but her greatest passion was the love for her family. Linda married Terry Hollenbeck on May 29, 1982 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Rebecca Brown and her husband Ezra of Tecumseh, Kristina Collins and her husband Lance of Topeka, and David Hollenbeck and Sheena Ayala of Tecumseh, her mother, Patricia Rodriguez and her siblings, Deborah Cisneros, Theresa Rodriguez and Rodney Rodriguez all of Topeka. Her grandchildren, Kendalyn, Kassidy, Kambree Brown and Lathan Collins also survive. She was preceded in death by her father Tino, her grandmother Verna Brosemer, and her beloved dog, Snoball. She will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at West Side Christian Church. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
