Perry Rogers

Perry J. Rogers, 52, of Topeka, died December 22, 2011 at Rolling Hills Nursing Home. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 10, 1959 the son of Paul E. and S. Joan (Smith) Rogers. Perry was a 1977 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School. He was a member of the Berryton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and his cats and dogs. Perry was a carpenter for the Local Carpenter?s Union. He is survived by his mother Joan Rogers of Topeka, a sister Becky Roeckers and her husband Robin of Berryton, and a host of four legged family members. Perry will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at the Mulvane Cemetery in Mulvane, Kansas on Monday at 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society or the CAT Association and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
