Kathryn L. Chandler, age 10, of Topeka, was wrapped in God?s arms and taken home on May 28, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on September 17, 2001 the daughter of Chad Evan and Tamara Sue (Easterling) Chandler. Kathryn just completed 4th grade at Lowman Hill Elementary School. She attended Central Church of Christ and Quivira Heights Church of Christ of which she was a member of the Youth Group in both churches. She enjoyed roller skating, horseback riding, all types of arts and crafts and especially helping other children. She was a karate student at Young Champions of Kansas, where she achieved her purple belt with a black stripe. Kathryn is survived by her parents, Chad and Tamara, a brother, Mitchell Easterling, her grandparents, Nannette and David Easterling, and Linda and Darrell Spencer all of Topeka and Richard Chandler of Osborne, KS., and her great grandmothers Betty Easterling and Zola Boswell both of Topeka. She will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. where her family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Church of Christ at 1250 S.W. College. Interment will follow in Penwell- Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery.
