Joyce Marie Frederick

Joyce Marie Frederick, 67, of Topeka, died April 19, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Stelle City, Nebraska on April 11, 1945 the daughter of August William and Anna Marie (Landoll) Ruhkamp. Joyce worked in food service for USD #501. She was a member of Mater Dei Holy Name Parish. She married Joseph Leroy Frederick at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan, Kansas on August 3, 1968. He survives. She is also survived by three daughters, Ann (Dennis) Hendrix, Amy (Gerald) Terrill and Becky Wright all of Topeka, two sisters, Rose Leonard of Topeka, and LaVerna Ronnebaum of Axtell, Ks., a brother Gilbert (Pat) Ruhkamp of Salina, Ks., seven grandchildren; Joshua Hendrix, Kelly Terrill, Julia Wright, Kayla Terrill, Gracie Wright, Joseph Noriega, and Keri Terrill, and four great granddaughters, Destiny and McKenzie Hendrix and twins, Amelia and Oriah Hayes-Hendrix. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harry Ruhkamp and Father Melvin Ruhkamp, and twin granddaughters, Kristina and Katlyn Terrill. Joyce will lie in state at Mater Dei Holy Name Church on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
