Timothy George Desch, 53, of Topeka, died March 26, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 5, 1958 the son of George and Goldie (Raab) Desch. He was a 1976 graduate of Seaman High School. Tim was a Vegetable Farmer. He sold vegetables at many downtown locations for almost 40 years and was most recently at the Downtown Farmer?s Market. He was a member of the Downtown Farmer?s Market and served as past President and past Vice President of the Kansas Vegetable Growers Association. Tim was good at fixing things. He enjoyed playing pool and raising flowers. He is survived by his fiancée Theresa McCulley of the home, his mother, Goldie Desch of Topeka, a brother, Earl (Jenny) Desch of Kansas City, MO., three children, Matthew (Jennifer) Wheeler of Holton, Ks., Ginger (Tim) Prine of Holton, Ks., and Angela (Keith) Grosvenor of Burleson, Tx. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Haley, Sarah, Dylan, Tyler, Sydney, Eli, Kadyn, Cooper, Camryn, Mirabelle, and Makayla. He was preceded in death by his father, George Desch on March 9, 2012 and a grandson, Connor. Tim will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 7:00 p.m. followed by cremation. Inurnment will be privately held at a later date.
