Betty Sue Renyer

Betty Sue Renyer, 88, of Topeka, died March 12, 2012 at Midland Hospice Care. She was born November 20, 1923 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Clarence M. and Mary (Holford) Wood. She graduated from Capital Catholic High School in Topeka and attended St. Mary?s College in Leavenworth. Betty Sue Heinz married Clarence W. Renyer on April 12, 1972 he preceded her in death on June 21, 2003. Her three brothers, John, Clarence, Jr. and Bill Wood also preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Reed (Gerrald) of Topeka, Adele Heinz (Dan Reagin)of San Lorenzo, CA, one son, Fred Heinz (Jan) of Topeka. She is also survived by three step-daughters, Nancy Bell, Susan Johnson (Orville), Jane Hickman and a step-son, John Renyer all of Topeka. Five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren also survive. Betty will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00. A parish rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Betty?s memory may be made to Midland Hospice Care or Big Brothers Big Sisters and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603.
