Shirley Ann Broadus

Shirley Ann Broadus, 66, of Topeka, died June 22, 2012 at Midland Care Hospice. She was born August 18, 1945 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Edward and Marie (Kezon) Knych. Shirley retired from Child Support Enforcement with the State of Kansas. She was a member of Mater Dei Parish. Shirley married Frank Broadus, Jr. on February 6, 1965 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1991. Survivors include her children, Elizabeth Hudson and her husband Gregory of Burlington, Theresa Pineda and her husband Mark, Frank Broadus, III and his wife Kathryn and Phillip Broadus, all of Topeka. Six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren also survive. Per her wishes she has been cremated. A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Shirley?s memory may be made to Midland Hospice Care or the American Cancer Society and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603
