Patrick C. Kiernan

Patrick C. Kiernan, 72, of Topeka, died August 14, 2011 at Midland Hospice House. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on January 13, 1939 the son of Paul J. and Ann E. (Grayson) Kiernan. Patrick retired in 1999 from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 40 years of service as a Production Specialist. After retirement Pat joined his son Michael running Pruitt Appliance Service Inc. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, rose gardening and vegetable gardening. Patrick married Mary K. Shilling in Seneca, Kansas on October 31, 1961. He is survived by his wife Mary and children; Michele Hillrichs and husband Brad of Ozawkie, Paula Meggison of Goff, Michael P. Kiernan and wife Sharon of Topeka, and Philisha Stallbaumer and husband Brad of Centralia, ten grandchildren, one great grandson, and his siblings, Sharon Ward of Centralia, Kay (Jim) McKee of New Underwood, S.D., Marilyn Russell of Rochester, Michigan, and Larry (Barbara) Wiggins of Goff. Pat was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Carol Wiggins. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held later at the Fairview Cemetery in Goff.
