Patricia T. Martinez

Patricia T. Martinez, 85, of Topeka, died August 12, 2011 at her home. She was born on October 19, 1925 in Newton, Kansas the daughter of Jose and Antonia T. (Martinez) Terrones. Patricia was a homemaker and caregiver for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic church and a former member of Mater Dei Assumption Parish. Patricia married Joe A. Martinez in Newton, Kansas on October 9, 1948. He survives her. She is also survived by two daughters, Linda Henning and husband Steve and Irene Lambotte and husband Kenneth all of Topeka, a son, Andrew Martinez of Lawrence, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two sisters, Emily Vargas of Topeka, and Louise Morales of Newton, Ks. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and three sisters. The family would like to thank everyone at Midland Hospice Care, Kansas Rehabilitation and Stormont-Vail for their care and kindness extended to Patricia and her family. Patricia will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
