Richard T. Motto

Richard Motto, 60, Topeka, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at his home. Richard was born January 3, 1951 in Topeka the son of Joseph and Patricia (Warren) Motto they preceded him in death, also preceding him in death was a brother Robert Motto. He was a welder for BRD and also worked as a sales associate at Home Depot. Richard married Nellie Waits on July 3, 1974 in Topeka, they later divorced. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Ruble and her husband Terry, one sister, Carol Myers and three grandchildren all of Topeka. Richard will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are to gather at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to Mount Calvary Cemetery for a graveside service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603.
