Gerard Grace

Gerard "Jerry" Grace, 54, of Topeka, died August 4, 2011 at the Alma Manor. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 30, 1956 the son of John Gilbert and Marcella (Puhl) Grace. Jerry worked as a lineman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He enjoyed gardening, canning and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father on December 18, 1991. Survivors include his mother, Marcella Grace, four brothers, Joe and wife Judy, John and wife Mary, Tom and wife Deb, and Bob; a sister, Mary Kay Hendrickson and husband Keith and many nieces and nephews. Jerry will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. He will lie in state at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a Parish rosary prayed at 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation will follow with private inurnment held at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart/St. Joseph Parish and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
