Frances M. King, 85, of Topeka, passed away June 17, 2011 at St. Francis Health Center.
She was born October 20, 1925 the daughter of Patrick and Lucille Mingo Grace.
Frances was an antique dealer for many years.
She bowled in several bowling leagues. Frances always looked forward to the Sunday family get-togethers. She loved spending time and being involved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Frances was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
She was married to Harvey G. King, Sr. on October 5, 1946 at Holy Name Church. He preceded her in death December 12, 2000. She was also preceded in death by a sister Mary T. Fitzgerald and a grandson Eric Rhoads.
She is survived by: three sons, Harvey G. King, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Alta Vista, Richard W. King and his wife Peggy of Overbrook and David R. King and his wife Cassie of Topeka, four daughters, Alice M. Thompson of Temecula, CA, Marcia L. Rhoads of Topeka, Marilyn G. Lively of Topeka, and Nancy J. Rolin and her husband Steve of Meriden and one sister Patricia Southall of Topeka. Seventeen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren also survive.
Frances will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
