Carol "Tweety" (Lusco) Crith

Carol “Tweety” (Lusco) Crith, 51, of Topeka, died May 19, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.

She was born in Topeka, Kansas on February 22, 1960 the daughter of Raymond Lee and Patricia Ethel (Porter) Lusco. 

Carol received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washburn University in 1988 and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Wichita State University.  She worked for the Menninger Foundation for 15 years and then at Valeo Behavioral Health Care.

She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Kansas Nurses Association.

Carol married Byron Clyde Crith in Topeka, Kansas on October 6, 1985.  He preceded her in death exactly two years ago on May 19, 2009.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, her oldest sister Stephanie Diane Lusco. She will join her aunt Shirley Jackson in heaven, who died just hours before her passing.

She is survived by a sister, Shirley Strong of Topeka, her nieces and nephews; Aaron (Lyndelle) Anderson, Cedric (Michelle) Bryant II, all of Topeka, Briana (Dennis) Santiago of FL and Antonio Walker of Topeka.  Also surviving are her great nieces and nephews; Aarolyn, Keyana, Malik, Taaron, Kyland, Mia, Maegan, Taylen, Makenna, Alexianna, Dakota, Yessea, Brooklyn and Hayden.

Carol will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Tuesday after 2:00 p.m. a prayer service will be recited at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends following the prayer service from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow.
