Gerard Rush Rodriguez Metz

Gerard Rush Rodriguez Metz, 58, of Topeka, died May 4, 2011 at Midland Hospice House.

He was born in Tampa, Florida on January 12, 1953 the son of Jose  and Elizabeth (Metts) Rodriguez. 

Gerard received a degree in English from the University of Northern Colorado.  In 1984 he received his Juris Doctorate from the Washburn University School of Law.

He served in the Seabees Reserves in Topeka.  Gerard was a stay at home dad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Elizabeth Rodriguez.

Gerard married Nancy E. Votaw on October 22, 1988 at Grace Cathedral.  She survives.  He is also survived by his children, Catherine, Joe and Ruth all of Topeka, a sister, Joanne Johnson of Boise, Idaho and eleven nieces and nephews.
